The safety laser scanners from Hokuyo Automatic offer protection for people and machines against collisions and unauthorised access. The laser scanners with safety function (safety category Pl d / Cat. 3) are ideal for safeguarding machines. Additionally, the scanners also have special functions for application on AGVs where preventing collisions with people and obstacles is essential. The scanners have unique features, including two warning zones and one hazardous zone, distance measurement up to 40 metres, both horizontal and vertical mounting, improved intrusion protection, muting function, and the possibility for dual protection or safeguarding.
The free included software allows for easy configuration (remotely possible via USB or Ethernet), while the Ethernet interface also provides data output. With the master-slave setup, multiple scanners can be linked, and the encoder input allows the speed of AGVs to be measured and the distance of the warning and hazardous zones to be adjusted.
Configuration can take place via USB, an SD card or (remotely) via Ethernet, providing flexibility and convenience. With area configuration, you can precisely position the laser scanners and delineate the safe and warning areas.
